Meet Jonathan.

Jonathan has been building for about 11 years. He started with a train table for our oldest son. It was the most ridiculously awesome and sturdy train table known to man. It could hold multiple full grown adults standing on it. We had to have something sturdy because our son insisted on climbing onto his train table when we played. The store bought ones (yes, even Pottery Barn) caved in and broke when he did this. Kinda lame, right? So anyway, Jonathan went to work and built him one. To this day, we still have it and it is in fabulous shape. It has lasted through 3 kids. We plan on passing it down to our grandkids.

Jonathan works full time for the family business, but in his spare time (ha), he builds tables to satisfy his manly need to constantly be working with his hands. Can you tell this is written by his wife?

Gone are the days of building quick tables to please the masses. This is truly a hobby and labor of love for him now. Jonathan works exclusively with hardwoods. Why? One, because every other noob on the block is building with pine. It’s cheap, forgiving, and easy to source. Hardwoods are so much more durable, beautiful, and unique. Furniture built with hardwoods is timeless and classic. These are real investment pieces meant to last a lifetime, if not longer.

Since Jonathan is a father of 5 and is in high demand, he builds only 2 projects at a time. He prefers to build what speaks to him and sell the tables once they’re completed, however he will occasionally take on custom projects.
